Originally a supplier of optics and other science items for hobbyist and educational use, EO refocused on industrial optics during the mid-1980s when market analysis showed that demand for its educational items had peaked. Since that time the company has become well known as a catalog based distributor of industrial optics and related products, as well as a source for much more - including application integration, custom lens and coating design, and OEM services.

Along with our Arizona research & design center, we are a worldwide presence in industrial optics extending well beyond our original manufacturing plant and corporate headquarters in Barrington, New Jersey. When immediate use of off-the-shelf products is not possible, EO's engineers can often modify existing products, using our extensive manufacturing resources to create products that meet unique customer needs.
